I finally decided to move the music from the Master Plan demo tape that survived all these years. And one thing about me, I always try to do things with the best quality that I can afford, and and am thankful the music was on some gold standard tape Memorex for people who remember that commercial. Lol. One of the tunes was pretty glitchy at the end and I thought my mastering engineers at The Mastering Palace, might be able to get it to sound even better. “Might” is putting things lightly because they level sound up like no tomorrow and they are actual humans - award winning top of the line. So @kevinpetersonmastering was enlisted for what I thought was a pretty gargantuan task. What he sent back to me not only was beautiful, it was everything that AI is not. The sound was elevated and on top of it all it’s still retained all the special qualities, rawness and love of a demo. He even fixed some of the gnarly glitches ( God knows how that happened) at the end of one of the tracks, which happens to be one of my favorites. When we put this thing out, we didn’t know what was gonna happen. And here we are. I’m definitely gonna be releasing this because I think it’s historical and the compositions are cool as heck. Even prophetic - in the track called “Andrew”, I talk about a woman falling in love with an android. Hopefully I can get that done soon, but I constantly feel like I’m rushing and busy of course as I work my best to raise two grandchildren. I’m thinking of something like this for the cover. I would say stay tuned, but I don’t talk like that so I’ll keep you posted. Needless to say those were different days - as the primitive gear to record at home started to appear. Me personally I still like to record in a full out Studio and that’s actually what ended up happening after this demo was shopped. And yes, plastic surgery was not common like it is apparently now and those were my lips - often criticized by others.
